Evolution not revolution

Evolution not revolution

When we reach our limit, we often take drastic actions. For example, if you're overweight and it's affecting your health, you might try an extreme diet. You could lose weight quickly, but your body often responds by storing more fat, expecting more "starvation" periods. This leads to the yo-yo effect, where you gain even more weight over time. We haven't even touched on how this affects your mental state and confidence in fasting successfully.

The desired feeling of "nothing tastes as good as healthy feels" is rarely achieved. Without experiencing this, it's hard to change your beliefs about weight loss. This makes it challenging to develop a lasting healthy lifestyle that includes more than just diet.

The underlying idea is that revolution typically does not provide the desired outcome when confronting an extreme state. This is especially true in trading. An unhealthy lifestyle is usually established over decades. It doesn't need a revolution to change, but small, continuous steps. This evolutionary approach helps achieve long-term goals. It creates a sustainable path to embrace one's body with a fully reflective mindset. This helps understand why one ended up with an undesired result.

Likewise, changing unwanted trading behaviors requires a well-mapped road. This leads to the implementation of principles that are conducive to successful trading.

As humans, we overestimate what we can achieve in a short period and underestimate the magnitude of success that may be possible in the long run.

We tend to meet extremes with an emotional rationale mutually extreme and, as such, fail to manifest actual change.
